Will Ferrell heads back to the '70s as the player/coach/owner of a lousy basketball team that is facing disbandment in this outrageous comedy. It's 1976 and the Flint Tropics (as in Flint, Michigan) are the worst team in the American Basketball Association--a dying league whose top four teams are going to be absorbed into the NBA after the season. Enter Jackie Moon (Ferrell), a one-hit wonder disco star who buys the Tropics and becomes a one-man force in trying to keep the team alive...by any means necessary!
